I have a functioning MY Book Live 3 TB unit and it will no longer go to sleep. I have made sure it is set. I turned off streaming and I unplugged the ethernet cable over night but it was still doing heavy disk access in the morning. What ever is causing this is not effecting proformance as I can stream video files with no jitters or buffering. The other issue is I can’t get either the short or long diagnostic from Dahborad to complete. Both get to about 90 % and hang. I can cancel them OK but they never complete. I’l also not getting any error messages from the unit. I saw a post that there are issues with the on board diagnostics being broke. Any idea’s??

I recommend trying to have the latest firmware version on the unit, also try to reset the unit by pressing the hole shaped button on top of the Ethernet port of the unit with a paperclip or a pin for 3 to 6 seconds.
