My Book isn't showing on my mac desktop

Hi - I have a few WD My Workbook’s. All were active around 2012-2015. All MAC formated. None are showing up on my MAC desktop. Connected via Firewire to Thunderbolt adapter. macOS Catalina 10.15.07. Under SYSTEM REPORT, Under Thunderbolt port, show up as DEVICE CONNECTED. Finally, my WD Passport’s show up without a problem. Thank you very much.
