My book essential won't power off even with smartware installed

Everything was working fine, now suddenly it’s impossible to shutdown this my book essential.

I’m running smartware (also uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted) but when I press the power off button nothing happens.

The button is working because i’m able to force the shutdown.

I’ve been changing usb slots

I don’t know what else to do, except bashing my head on the wall

I’m running windows 8.1
