My Book Essential : solid white light but disk not spinning

Hello,

I have a 3TB My Book Essential, since a few years. It’s been working fine until recently. The white light stays solid and the disk is not spinning. Of course, the drive is not showing up in Windows. The power cord is working, and the PC recognizes other USB devices; I tried to plug the drive into another USB port… but nothing worked.

I have read a few similar topics but there was never a clear answer.

Anybody has an idea?
