Hi. I’m having a weird issue. When I drag my files into the folder for the HD, they show that they’re being copied onto it, they show up when I unplug and replug the drive in. However, it shows no change in the available space within the drive. So I’m just not sure they’re being actually saved to the drive.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you can open the files after reconnecting your drive, then they are stored inside. Available space is barely affected by small files. Try to copy at least 10GB and the difference should be displayed.
