My book Essential Backup + Transfer files?

Hey all,

I am currently using the backupsoftware supplied on the my book essential.  It works pretty well and its useful as a constant backup.

However, I would also like to transfer a large file(20gb) and my external is the only thing big enough to transfer it.  Can I transfer files, WITHOUT uninstalling the back up software?

You should be able to copy and paste files directly into your external hard drive, as well.  Just don’t mess with the backup folder - like renaming or moving it.

As long as you paste the file outside the “WD SmartWare.swstor” folder, then you should be absolutely fine.
