My Book Essential 2TB is not working

Yesterday after I started my computer and when i finished type the password of the My Book Essential, it didn’t showup on My Computer. What can I do ? please help thank you

Is the drive connected to a power strip or directly to the wall outlet? If so, connect the unit to the wall outlet, change the USB cable, just the basic troubleshoot.

What else did you try? Did you look for it on disk management? (Right-click computer/my computer> manage> disk management)
