Hi can anyone help me,

i was given a western digital external harddrive from a friend who had a apple mac, when i plug it into my windows laptop, it picks up the harddrive but it is not shown in my computer and cannot open anything.

Do you need to look in to your fiend’s data? If not you can repartition and format your drive using following method.

And don’t forget to assign a drive letter between S & Z to avoid future complications.
