hi, i bought my 1TB My Book Essential in 2010.just a few weeks back, the dirve died.i had ordered for a replacement and the courier pick up was dated on 27th April 2011…its yet to be done but i got an update from WD saying that the hard drive has been picked up and the replaced product has been delivered to me. this is completely illogical and such a horrible service WD is proving to their customers. i have no idea what the heck these guys are working for. Can Anyone Help Me out On this. the Hard drive details are as follows 1 TB MY Book Essential External Hard Drive Serial No. [delete] Model No. WDBAAAF0010HBK-SESN P/N WDBAAAF0010HBK-01
This is just a Users forum there for were not really able to find out details on another persons replacement. How ever I was able to find a place you are able to check on your RMA status.
But my best advice is to call WD and talk to them for more details.
