My Book 8TB Strange Recurring Noise

I recently noticed this super annoying recurring noise that this drive makes when at idol. As soon as the computer begins reading and writing data on the drive, this noise stops and the usual clicking noises begin. Once it’s finished the recurring noise resumes. Is the drive about fail?

Thanks for the link, that was the first place I looked before posting here. The problem is that my noise doesn’t seem to match any of there descriptions. It’s a repetitive noise, but not so much a clicking as it is a quick humming sound.
