My Book 4 TB Extra slow 1.2 KB/s

Hi can someone help me. I purchase My Book 4TB in August tried backing up my PC gave up in the end 1.2 KB/s up to 700 KB/s most of the time around 1.2 KB/s. I have just tried it again and still the same problem
