My book 3T drive problems and rma issue

After “updating” firmware, drive stopped working. 

Tech support issued an RMA for “advanced” replacement.

Drive has not been shipped since they are out of stock???

[PS: Prior to getting RMA, I was able to get Windows 7 to see drive in Device Manager, and every now and then it even had a drive letter, but NO data info. Since the drive was new, it had only a few test files (and their backup program)–but I am still curious if there is a way of gettig the drive “back in business”.] 

Try going to disk management and format the drive

after that you can download the software that comes on the drive and continue to backup

when doing the firmware updates is recommended to disable the firewall to avoid this type of issues
