Does anyone know if the My Book 3.0 will work on a Mac? The My Books looked nice, but the Mac ones have that crappy SmartWare software baked in. This one doesn’t, but the product sheet doesn’t list OS X support. Is it just because macs don’t offer USB 3.0? Or will they truly not work as an external USB 2.0 drive for some reason?
Good luck with an answer there, RabidCow. I looked at the lack of response as another good reason to go with another brand. I have a Seagate for my PCs and an Iomega coming from Amazon for my new iMac 27".

The My Book 3.0 should work on the Mac as a USB 2.0 drive.
