My Book 3.0 3TB shuts down upon connection

Hi!

My Book worked wonder for 2 weeks and today suddenly when i came home and connected it to the computer it just shut off. I’ve tried connecting it to other computers and even to a mac, im currently on windows 7.  

When i connect the power alone to it it will start spinning and the little power-light will shine but as fast as i connect the usb to a computer it shuts off instantly stopping me from even updating its firmware or anything. The computer wont recognize it at all as its shut off. 

Would appreciate a solution.

Hello, open the disk management windows to see if it’s recognized there.

Then try calling tech support for a replacement USB cable or power supply, if that doesn’t work then replace the my book.
