Music player

Hi,

I’m having problems playing music on my phone from my mycloud, it will only play one song at a time and not the whole album. Any ideas what I need to do,to sort this

Thanks

Greg

What phone?
What music player app?
What access method?
What access location (local or remote)?

Hi

Samsung S6
Samsung default player app and power amp app
Wifi and 4g
both local and remote

Sorry, I have no experience of those.

I have tried a number of music player apps, and settled on BubbleUPnP. It allows a number of play options, including replacing playlist, or adding one or more album tracks. I’d check to see if your apps don’t offer something similar with a press and hold context menu.

Yes, CP, my questions exactly; and then some…

To Poster, I see no mention of a WD product or app. All I see is Samsung phone and Samsung app. This is not the Samsung forum, it is the WD forum!

Anyway, try this suggestion:
I believe a Samsung phone is an Android device, so:

  1. Install the WD My Cloud app (Android version) on your phone.
  2. From WD app, access a local WD product (e.g. My Cloud) via Wi-Fi when at home.
  3. Find your music files on the WD device and play them.

If you can do this, great. If you cannot do this, because you do not have the appropriate WD equipment, you are stuck. The WD app only contacts WD devices. There are other apps you can install that can enable you to access other devices with music files and play them. I suggest you go to Samsung phone’s forum and find out what others there use.
