Music on my book

Hi, Ive just purchased a my book and would like to use it as a place to store all my cd’s. Can i just use it thru itunes as the destination folder by creating a new folder on the my book hard drive or is it (as usual) not as simple as that.

Just a warning Do Not use this drive as the only copy for important files like Itune downloads. You need a backup. That’s 2 copies on different drives or medium.
