I have a few MyBook in my posession that keeps corrupting and asking for format, so i ended up formating. So here are the things that I have trouble finding a solution;
Problem 1. I cant formatted/initialized a 1TB external Hard drives (by connecting both externally and internally). I have tried using Software (e.g Easeus), boot format, normal format and all of it said “This hard drives is media-protected” / “cyclic redundancy”. I have tried using command prompt “clean all” and it does not work. (under disk management, it appeared disk unallocated)
Problem 2. Slow transfer rate to my 1.5TB external Hard drives. It sometimes go from 40MB/s to 500kb/s and then 0kb/s. I have tried connecting externally and internally, formatting it each time. Tried formatting using software (WD quick formatter,Easeus) , computer format (quick and long) and boot format, it still remains the same. I did a few pages on this problem and some people said, WD secretly put a rookit in my external, is this the cause?
