Ms Office files save incremental filenames

Hello, I have just setup a My Cloud Ex2 Ultra in RAID 1 primarily for photos and movie storage but also for a small number of personal MS Office docs. Everything is going fine except when I autosave Excel or Word docs to the NAS using my iPad the files save with incremental version number, for example Test_1, Test_1_1, Test_1_1_1.

I have contacted WD support and they advised try a 40 second reset which didn’t help and then a factory reset but before I have to wipe all my data and start again I wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone else has encountered or resolved this issue.

For further context, I have a number of excel files I make regular updates to and override/keep same filename on iCloud and other cloud based storage and when I bought the NAS I was expecting to be able to do the same.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Scott

Hi @scottie_d,

Thanks for responding @Keerti_01 however the link doesn’t work.

I have already raised a support incident but was hoping to get further thoughts/ ideas before I had to resort to a factory reset.
