MPD on MyBookLive

I’m trying to setup a MPD server on my MyBookLive. I want to access my audio file even if I’m not on my Linux desktop (for exemple, when I’m on my Windows partition).

I already installed it, change the configuration file, and access it with NCMPCPP on my desktop (I see my files and can play them).

But, I have issues with the sound. It’s problematic for an audio player…

When I play a file, I have no sound. I have installed alsa. But when I use arecord -l, it display the following

arecord: device_list:235: no soundcards found...

 But since people can stream audio with Subsonic, I wonder how they do it with no soundcard.

So, am I doing it wrong or not ?

Unfortunately I have not tried this since it is not supported. But maybe other users can comment and help you on this.
