I have converted all of my DVDs to MP4 using the latest Handbrake, using the high profile setting and constant quality of 18. For the most part they all work great.
However, I just started ripping my BluRay collection, using Handbrake 0.9.5 (2011010300), again using the default High Profile settings, adjusting the picture width to 1280 (basically making the videos 720p). However, when I play the videos on the WD TV LIVE+, the audio is about 1/4 second faster than the video. This discprepency is consistent for all of the BluRays I’ve ripped. There does not appear to be any change in the offset for the duration of the movies. There is no audio sync issue if I play them on my PC (Win7 x64) using either Media Player, VLC or QuickTime. My iPad (change extension to m4v) and Blackberry also have no issues. I’ve tried network and local USB and I get the exact same results. I have updated to the latest firmware (not sure what I had before) and it has the same issues.
