I am using my new WD Live TV as an audio streamer, which connects to the audio inputs on my stereo.
I have updated the firmware to the latest version.
The problem I have is that MP3 playback keeps jumping around intermittently. This is the case for any album I play (so it is not isolated to a particular batch of MP3s).
Generally tracks will restart, but the time display still shows that the track is part way through.
Could the fact that the unit is showing that it is constantly compiling the media?

Hi, There is a 1TB USB drive attached to the unit via USB.

The unit shouldn’t be compiling media constantly and that might be the cause of the problem.
Doesn’t the unit finish compiling if you leave it alone? From a cold start my SMP only takes a couple of minutes at most to compile all my media on my 1TB usb hdd.
If it won’t finish compiling media, return it for another unit, it shoulldn’t matter if you play the music through your audio system or tv.
