Moving backup data from old computer windows 7 to new computer windows 10

I installed my book program onto my new computer windows 10 and was unable to access the restore files stored on it. The data on the external drive is from my old computer which was windows 7. It wanted to do a backup of the new computer. I was unable to get the restore to appear on the new computer. . There was a message “There are no files to restore. You have not scheduled a back up plan?”

What should I do ?. Did I do something wrong? Can someone help me? Thanks, in advance.

Have you tried accessing the backup folder?

You can access the backup folder that should be on the root of your rive and from there you can just copy and paste your files into the new computer.
