Movie freezes then goes like as fast forward to where it should have been and resumes

Hello,

Something that started just a day ago but is persistent.  Every 3 to 5 minutes, the movie freezes then after a while goes like it would be in fast forward then resumes where it should have been.

If when frozen, the stop button is pressed then plaay again, the unit offers the choice between restart or resume.

The frequent freeze still happens after rebooting and audating the firmware.

This issue happens with all the files type?

I use almost only AVI files, don’t really know for other file types.  It happens with 170Mb and 700Mb or above files.
