Modify Mycloud email address details

Hi
My broadband provider (EE) is closing all legacy email addresses on 31st May. When I set up my WDCloud access I used my Orange email address as the main user login e.g. emailname@orangehome.co.uk

I would like to modify the main user account such that it has my new email address. Can I do this, and if so how do I do it?

Tried going to http://mycloud.com/
And logging in?

Of course that works. My point is that when I log in with my original email address in effect this is the ‘main’ account. I want to modify this ‘main’ account such that it registers my new email address, because if there is a problem in the future my original email address will no longer be available, so any notifications sent to it will be inaccessible.

The account e-mail can be changed on mycloud.com i think.
And under settings, you can change the notification settings if you hit the configure.

Mmmm? When I log into Mycloud.com I dont see those functions

Then i think the only way is to re register (if the device is 100% re formated

Reformatted as in the whole disk? I don’t want to lose the data on there.

Have you tried going under shares, idk if the admin user’s e-mail there is the mycloud acess.
But try that?

Other than that, i think the only way is to do a quick format, meaning, holding the button in for 4 seconds, and reset the setup.

I’ve looked at the Shares - the main email address is there but I can’t access anything to do with.

If I reset the Set-up, can you confirm 100% that has no effect on the data?

Critical: The following process is Not Data Destructive and will not impact user data on the device.

The 4 Second Reset will reset the following:
Admin Password (No password by default)
Network Mode (Default = DHCP)

You might have to use the 40 second one, to reset the mycloud account setup.

Option B: 40 Second Reset (Reset with Power Off)
The 40 Second Reset, also known as System Only Restore, will reset the following:

Admin User Name (default = “admin”)
Admin Password (No password by default)
Device Name (default = “WDMyCloud”)
Remove all Users except Admin
All Share permissions (default = Public)
Automatic Firmware Update (default = off)
Network Mode (default = DHCP)
Remove all Alerts
mycloud.com account association (default = not configured)
Mobile app account association (default = not configured)
WD Sync association (default = not configured)
Backup jobs (default = not configured)
Safepoint jobs (default = not configured)

Set up a new WD2go.com account on the new address?
