I purchased several drives sold as Ultrastar. The physical labels on each confirm the model as HUS723030ALS640, but my controller is recognizing several of them as HUS72303CLAR3000. Are the two models the same (or at least similar enough to not worry)?
I spoke with tech support and they confirmed the models beginning with HUS are all Ultrastar drives (I was a little worried they were a different model). I’m unable to perform long tests with smartctl, but it appears the HUS72303CLAR3000 isn’t in drivedb.h so I’ll follow the smartmon FAQ to get it added.
