Hi I just got my cloud 3TB yesterday. My purpose was so I could free up space on my mobile phone…store all my photos and music on my cloud…only download back to the phone. However I moved one folder to my cloud and when I deleted From my phone files it was also deleted from my cloud. Am I doing something wrong?
How did you “move” the folder to the My Cloud from the Android device? Using what app? Do you have the WD mobile app installed on the phone? Where the folder/files moved from the phone in a directory monitored by the WD mobile app and where those files/folders moved to the same location on the My Cloud the WD mobile app is copying to? If so that may account for the deletion of the files on the My Cloud when you deleted them from the phone.
I have a my cloud app. I went into the app, selected the mobile phone…internal storage, then selected the folder and copied it to a folder in wdmycloud with my name.
I have now gone into settings and turned sync off will this help? Can I now copy folder to my cloud and delete from phone??? Afraid to try it again.
