Mkv

How do we  copy movies  format as MKV file in external hard disk to play by WD TV live ?

You will have to give a fuller explanation of what you want to do. The simple answer is you just copy the mkv to the hard disk using your computer. Or another is that you use mkvmerge to create the mkv from your current movie.

Or use MakeKMV which is pretty straightforward.

What is the difference between watching movies from WD TV live and blue ray disk player any degree of resolulation change or not ? I mean  same quality of picture or not?

Are you asking the original poster, or someone else here?

A blu-ray player will play blu-ray discs at the blu-ray resolution.  The Live can play all sorts of movie types, with all sorts of resolutions.  If it plays an original blu-ray file (ripped from the blu-ray disc but not re-encoded) the resolution will be the same in either case.  If it plays a file that is re-encoded then the quality will depend on the encoding used.
