From my pc with windows 7 & windows media player 12 & win7 codecs, I can play the mkv files from MBWE through network folder share mode. But through media server mode, I can play mpg files but mkv files fails. (firmware version 1.1.16 & Twonky version 5.1)
Can anyone provide some light?
I’m not sure, but Twonky might not handle mkvs as well. Remeber when you use a media server its transcoded using twonky than streamed. When you play through Samba, it’s simply streamed and played using the standard codecs installed on the player.
