Mkv file with on2 vp7 codec

I recently got a mkv file with on2 vp7 code. My WDTV Live is not able to play it. I found that even vlc media player in my laptop is not playing it. What should I do to play it in my WDTV Live. Is there are convertor available that can convert into a suitable format with out loss of quality which WDTV live can play?

The issue isn’t the container, it’s that the WD TV Live doesn’t decode the ON2 VP7 codec.
