I have had my WD TV Live SMP (gen 3) for a little over a week now and have found this forum very helpful in learining how to get the most out of this device. I do, however, have a long way to go and am an admitted newbie, so please bear with me. I have converted many of my blu ray movies to MKV using MakeMKV, which preserves chapter points from the original media. If I play the MKV file on my computer, I can skip from one chapter to another, although the chapter points aren’t exactly the same as on the original. When I play the file on WD TV Live, however, there is no ability whatsoever to jump to another chapter. I have pretty much concluded that this functionality, much like menus on blu ray ISOs, does not exist on the WD TV Live. I should, I suppose, mention that I am using the most current firmware. Am I correct in concluding that the WD TV Live lacks chapter functionality for MKV files or am I overlooking something? Any help would be appreciated.
While viewing your movie press ‘options’ on the remote and then ‘View Chapter’. Unfortunately its not as easy as on your computer but it is there. (its all detailed in the manual)
