I’m planning on purchasing a My Passport Ultra Premium Portable Storage between 2TB & 3TB. Is there a way that when I hook the drive to my laptop I can get it to Mirror the Laptop so that as I am working on the computer it mirrors what I am doing versus having to stop and do a backup?

You would need an automatic mirror backup application in order to sync with your external hard drive. WD SmartWare (The bundled application) does not perform mirror system backups as it excludes Operating System files and applications/programs.
