Media Library: wrong director. Again

Haven’t added new titles to my media library in a while.

Now I noticed almost all of my new titles have wrong name to director.

Double checked on themoviedb and it seems WDTV is just using the very first name under ‘Directing’-category it can find. And that is just false!

For example: “Das Boot(1981)”.

There are two entries on moviedb:

Isabel Prochnow
Directing - Script Supervisor

and

Wolfgang Petersen
Directing - Director

The latter is of course the right one. Instead of just picking the first entry under “Directing”, WD TV needs to search for the entry “Directing - Director” if there are several entries under “Directing”.

I remember this has been an issue several firmwares ago. It was definitely fixed. Now the very same problem happens again. That’s just sad. :cry:

Any way to fix this? It seems (firmware) support for WDTV models is dead. :confused:

Did you try resetting the WD TV or re-installing the firmware manually?

Yes. I did this on one of my devices. Even tricked it to install the latest fw again. No use. Have one in my living room and one in my office. Both show the same behaviour.
