Why every time you restart the hub he scan the media library even if it has not been modified? It 's a waste of time.
Is there a way to avoid it without disabling the library?
Thanks

How would it know it has not been modified if it doesn’t do a rescan?
It would know maybe with an index like windows (for search files) that don’t rescan all files every reboot.
So WD HUB rescan every boot? It’s normal?

How do you know it’s NOT doing that? Windows rebuilds its index every so often, too – it just doesn’t tell you it’s doing it.
Yes, it’s of course normal. That’s why most people don’t shut the thing off all that often; they just leave it in Standby.
OK thank you.
