Hello all,
I bought a WD My Book Live 2 TB and it was working perfectly, till I decided to download the new firmware… During the updating process the electric power shut down… Now it seems the hard disk is ok, but the case show a white fix led in the front; in the rear there is connection (lower green led) and activity (upper green intermittent led).
I tried everything (Ethernet cable, reset…) but nothing, the MBL is not recognized anymore.
It seems Linux environment has been corrupted, how could I restore it?

If you get a white light in front of the MBL, it’s stuck loading the OS. If a power cycle doesn’t fix it, replace it.

now it’s running perfectly!

I’d just like to let you know that if you followed that guide without permission from Western Digital you voided your 3 year limited warrenty.
