Hello,
I have just purchased a new My Passport Essential external HDD and everything works like a charm. However, the backup program included isn’t much of a help for me because I can’t select specific files to copy over, only categories which are automatically detected.
I would to copy files manually to the HDD however it doesn’t allow me and the user manual is much help either.

Never mind, all I had to do is to disable the VCD and than un-plug and re-plug the HDD
