MakeMKV v1.7 MKV's not Playing on WD TV LS

Hi

Anyone used MakeMKV v1.7 to create mkv’s that stream OK on the WD TV Live from a NAS?

I’ve been using MakeMKV for a while but only purchased a WD TV LS recently. I have found that mkv’s made with a previous version of MakeMKV stream OK to the WD TV LS, but v1.7 MKV’s don’t with the player stating that the files are an unsupported format. The same v1.7 MKV’s are however playable on my laptop or workstation (also streamed from NAS).

I have tried the following, but none seem to rectify problem: -

  1.  re-installing previous versions of MakeMKV

  2. updating WD TV LS firmware (did not work prior and after firmware update)

  3. re-encoding with Handbrake

  4. remuxing with  MKVmerge GUI

Some media info of an MKV that does not play as follows: -

Thinking that the problem maybe inherent of the WD TV Live firmware?

I think you may report this as an issue:
