As I stated above, I already did all of that.
mmm… I’m trying to think if I did something different…
I remember when I installed this update I needed to re-login into the application. Maybe that’s the solution.
I don’t know which other thing you’ll need to do.
I also did all of that. And I’ve re-downloaded and started from the beginning several times. All permissions are in place. Everything is exactly as they asked and there is still no sign of it in Finder.
I have tried everything too! WD Discovery will simply not instal, yet the other drive utilities and security do as one would expect.
dont install After that %60 stop !
I’m having the same issue as well … uninstalled and reinstalled several times also, I have it working on desktop but not laptop. can’t get the laptop to work.
not working, after the installing bigger
I need HELP! the latest updates for Big Sur is it 4.2.288? I installed everything based on the tips here yet i still can’t fully access my files in my WD My Cloud Home!
this is getting very frustrated because i store most of my working file in the cloud & now i can’t access most of them!
Same mayor issues here, running macOS Big Sur @version 11.0.1 but not able to connect towards My Cloud Home from the finder, only over web-interface. When can we expect a correct update? Cannot access my files in a normal order…
Same exact issue…and same exercise of update Discovery and nada…Drive appears in finder, yet only shows timemachine and no folders. …spent hours trying to figure out, then saw this thread of same (new to community). If no answer / update available, WD support should try the truth. Frustrated.
Also, shows connected as Guest…when I try to connect as registered user, does not recognize user/password either.
Ok so we are now going on 3 months with no resolution with this. I haven’t updated my computer but would like to do so but with this being my media server I can’t unless WD does their part and actually put out a software update to this ongoing issue.
Hi. Finally it worked for me with Big Sur.
1st I’ve uninstal the older WD Discovery.
2nd Restart the MAC
3rd Install the last software. Mac will ask you the password to install it and then will ask to allow security. Say yes and it will restart the Mac again.
4th After mac restared just run WD Discovery
Hope I could help!!!
Shame on you ! It’s not professional at all! I have several My Cloud Home drives and none are working since updating on Mac. This has been going on for months. Is that how you treat your customers?
Any solution in the mean time?
