every time i plug in my 1tb WD my book, the WD smartware thing pops up and i dont want it too, i just want the my book to pop up, how can i get rid of it?

i have updated the firmware… and i went to WD smartware manager… but it still says i have to update the firmware and wont let me disable it
is there another way to disable this ****ing WD smartware cd from popping up every time my thing is connected… i dont want this software
I don’t know if you need to run this on Windows or not to make it work. An alternative way to be rid of it in Windows is to go into device manager and disable it there. I don’t know about Macs where the equivelent would be.

i found this…
sudo sh -c “echo UUID=diskutil info /Volumes/WD\ SmartWare/ | grep 'UUID' | awk '{print $NF}' none hfs rw,noauto 0 0 >> /etc/fstab”
put that into terminal and it got rid of it… idk now cause i dont speak that language but it worked.
