Mac and My Passport Essential SE portable hard drive problems

Hello,

I just bought my external hard drive to save photos.  When I tried to connect it to my MacBook Pro I got the following message.

NTFS-3G

NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk1s1 at /Volume/MyPassport because the following problem occurred:

/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/support/fusefs.kext failed to load - (librkern/ketx) link error; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).  the MacFUSE file system is not available (71)

Can anyone help me with this problem?

I’ll suggest you to try to reformat your drive to a Mac file system.
