Hi - I just had my system installed and the unit is pretty loud - almost as loud, if not louder, than a PC fan. Is that normal?

The fan is a little louder than expected, but should be “normal” fan sounds. The fan should only be at one static RPM.
Ray - did you ever resolve this? Inside the box there’s a 40mm fan which is about the noisiest fan size available, so it’s an unfortunate design choice. I’m wondering about the various options to resolve this myself with a larger but much quieter fan.
Nope. I got cat5e extension cords and moved it inside my closet so I don’t hear the noise anymore.
