Lots of outgoing traffic while indexing (post firmware update)

Hello,
My MyCloud EX2 Ultra just got updated to the new v5.12 firmware.

Indexing is ongoing (as after every restart or firmware update).

I wonder why there is so much outgoing traffic going on while index is updating. What is the NAS doing? No computers at home was using the NAS.

Thanks for looking into this but the knowledge base article is simply about indexing. My question was about the outgoing traffic. Is the index sent somewhere out? Or is something else generating the outgoing traffic?
