Lost map as Z: after win11 upgrade

home.myclould.com works OK, but lost drive mapped as Z: in explorer no longer connects. How can I fix this?

Hi @LARRY_HANLON,

Please contact the WD Technical Support team for best assistance and troubleshooting:

When you run Windows command (open cmd.exe) “net use” you should see something like

Z: \\Server\My Cloud_1dff3e825290b7c593afdc5afa6a6a81 Virtual Network Redirector WDFSC
onnect v2017

Your server is just your PC network name and the hexdecimal after your My Cloud_ will be different. Copy that string such as below into the Windows File Explorer address bar and paste it.

\\Server\My Cloud_1dff3e825290b7c593afdc5afa6a6a81

You should get access to the WD Discovery mounted drive. Then pin that folder to Windows 11 ‘Quick Access’. If you can’t see this with “net use”, you will have to reinstall WD Discovery and then even do a new Windows 11 installation if you really want to get this to work.

TURNED OUT i JUST AD TO LOG IB TO WD APP AGAIN… not sure why I got kicked out?
