Just started using my new Passprt 500 drive, I put all the pre installed Passport files in one folder, now the folder is empty, also copied some data from another external HD to Passport - only some files within folders have copied and files that have copied dont open, message says that the files dont exsist ! Help Please
Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

you corrupted the data on the drive. did you pull the cable without safely removing the drive? if so, you will need to reformat the drive. or, delete the partition and repartition and format the drive. you must always safely remove the drive. if you just yank the cable, especially right after copying data to the drive, you will always corrupt the files that are still buffered on the drive.
