Lost file because of migration from RAID 1 to Raid 5


Previously one of our IT employee tried to add two more additional HDD Drive to our WD My Cloud ex4100 and after he add the new drives he change the RAID level from RAID-1 to RAID-5. Unfortunately the person forgot to backup one of our employee share folder saved into that machine.

Is there any way that we can recover those files back? Are there any other method or other software that we can use that can possibly recover the files.


I know its been a month since you asked. I had this same issue. I would recommend R-Studio its a pricey 79.99 but compared to the others that are 39.99 etc… R-Studio is the way to do and not waste any of your time. Easy to use.
