I’ve lost access to my the My Cloud & My Book Live drives in Windows Explorer on Windows 10.
They were available with specific icons visible, but all of a sudden the drives aren’t accessible and the icons are of a generic server. A solution advised mapping the drives, but there’s nothing showing when I try to browse the drives.
Apologies if the above isn’t very clear.
If anyone could help, I’d be really grateful.
Same with me since tow days now. As also other users have that problem, it seems that there is something wrong within the WD system
I had access just a few days ago, so I’m at a loss as to what has changed either with Windows 10 or the drives themselves.
I stumbled across this and it’s thankfully worked for me. Hope it does for you too.
Here is what I just found with a Google search and it worked for me.
Open the Control Panel select Programs and Features then open Turn Windows features on or off
then make sure the following box is checked, SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support, your computer will have to reboot for it to take affect. See images below, click on, tap or activate images to enlarge them.

End results, my My Cloud is back. See images below.

Thanks. I tried it and now I see the MyCloud device but only a public folder which is empty. So a step in the right direction but not the full step.
