Looking to replace U-verse and just use media player and Internet for TV

Hello! Just purchased the streaming player and had a question: does anyone know of a product/service that can replace U-verse? I checked out Skitter and it is not available in my area. Ideally, I want to be able to stream internet thru my TV without having to connect my laptop directly to the TV.

Any suggestions/help is appreciated.

You might not be able to do that since the SMP has limited online services and they don’t have an option for the users to add more services.
