Login password lost

I have freshly installed my windows 10. When I re-install the software of 3T My Cloud and try to connect to it, it asks me for a login password which I have lost and forgotten. Where can I reset the password or retrieve it back ?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

@obopong Do you own a 1st or 2nd generation My Cloud? Are you able to provide and image of what comes up? With Windows 10 use Snip and Sketch to capture images.

Generally one sets or changes the My Cloud User passwords in the My Cloud Dashboard administration interface.

How to access the Dashboard on a My Cloud (single bay) device

If you have forgotten the admin user password that is needed to access the My Cloud Dashboard when the admin password option is enabled then perform a 4 second reset (via the reset button on the back of the My Cloud) which should reset the Admin password back to the default (blank).

I think my WD is the 2nd generation.

Anyway, I at last can connect to my device without knowing by which method/way mentioned in the google search and install the relevant applications.
