Locked Files and Folders

Does anyone else have this issue? My MyBook has random files and folders all over it that are locked. The is a small silver/black icon on the bottom left of any file that is locked. Even some file inside the same folder are not locked while others are. I’m pretty sure I did not knowingly set this. I using MAC Sierra 10.12.5 and have tried installing WD Security and Drive Utilities but both softwares don’t offer anything that allows you to release the lock. Any locked file on the drive also won’t let me add an admin account and when doing so and error pops up saying my Admin account doesn’t have the privileges.

Please help!

Hello,

Please note that the WD security is based on hardware not on single files or folders.
I did a quick search over the Apple forums and I found a similar post.
