In my ignorance I lock my wd elements external hard drive. I get the “can’t accees” notification. Nothing is damaged.

The WD Elements drive does not have a “Lock” feature.
Did you mean you used a 3rd party software to password protect your drive?
I clicked on properties… Security… I don’t know what I I did after. I
could not access my device. Luckily someone undid the damage for me. All’s
well. Thank you.
