Locating the hidden Public folder from Finder on a Mac - solution

I’m using the MyCloud Home local drive as the music source for Sonos but had trouble locating the Public folder in Finder. The solution is: open Finder > Go > Connect To Server.

In the window type (copy/paste this), changing the xxxxx to the name of your drive: smb://MYCLOUD-xxxxxx/Public/

I think each physical drive has a unique name, letters and numbers. If you’re not sure what the drive is called, open your Time Machine preferences and check the name there. In Finder, the My Cloud Home drive referred to is the Cloud drive, not the physical drive attached to the router.

My Mac is on Catalina.
